Code of Conduct

A boy/girl, who studies at S.R. International School, assumes the obligation to conduct himself/herself at all times in accordance with the highest standard of discipline, aiming at quality and excellence in education and character.

An S.R.I. student shall always keep in mind that a school is judged by his/her conduct. The following code of conduct is, therefore, laid down for guidance ofthe students.

Every Student

  • shall respect and practice rules and regulations of the school.
  • shall obey his/her parents, elders and teachers.
  • shall be precept and example, be truthful.
  • shall be courteous, friendly and co-operative with one another in laid out of the school.
  • shall avoid vulgarity in talk and behaviour.
  • shall be clean and always be neatly dressed in school uniform.
  • shall understand the value of time.
  • shall have faith in God and lend a helping hand to the poorest of the poor and the lowiest ofthe lowly.

Discipline

The Principal and Coordinator are responsible for the discipline in the school, assisted by all the teachers. Discipline is needed for the smooth running of the school. Punctuality, neatness, uniformity of dress, courtesy, consideration for others and a co-operative spirit are insisted upon. We do encourage initiatives and positive expressions of creative work. Our aim is that self-discipline should become a part of every student's way of life.

Discipline does not destroy freedom and autonomy. Freedom and responsibility have to be learned slowly and freely accepted, in an atmoshphere in which students exercise judgement and make freely accepted, in an atmosphere in which students exercise judgement and make free choices about matters appropriate to their age and level of understanding. Student‘s mistake are tolerated as part of the process of growing, but repeated misbehavior which destroys the spirit ofschool and hinders other students from peacefully growing, is not tolerated even if this causes pain tothe parents ofthe non co-operative students.
